FC Modal Auth
Sign in, registration and password reset in a modal on the current page. FC Modal Auth opens the native FluentAuth forms in a clean popup on any page, in the FluentCommunity portal and instead of wp-login.php. It matches your community’s colors in light and dark mode.

Normally every “Log in”, “Sign up” or “Forgot password” click sends visitors to a separate login page and back again. With FC Modal Auth they stay where they are. The form opens in a clean modal, and after signing in the current page reloads with the member logged in. Nobody lands on a blank login screen or loses the post they were reading.
Native FluentAuth, nothing extra
FC Modal Auth uses the forms from Fluent Security / FluentAuth that you already have. There are no third-party login services and no forms to rebuild. Sign in, registration, password reset, magic link, passkeys and 2FA all work the way FluentAuth set them up.
Works everywhere visitors try to sign in
- FluentCommunity portal: the portal’s own Login and Join buttons open the modal, even inside the single-page app.
- Regular pages: any link to the WordPress login, registration or lost-password page opens the modal.
- Direct visits to wp-login.php: a visitor coming from an e-mail, a bookmark or another site lands on the page you choose, with the modal already open. The choices are the homepage, the FluentCommunity portal or any page of your site.
- Your own buttons: use
#fcma=login,#fcma=registeror#fcma=resetas a link target, or callFCModalAuth.open()in JavaScript.
Works with any theme
The form loads in an isolated frame. Only FluentAuth’s styles and the modal’s own design are used inside it. Theme CSS, preloaders, cookie banners and popups from other plugins can’t cover or break it, even with heavy themes and page builders. The modal also shows up fast, without waiting for every image and script on the page.
Looks like your community
The modal takes its colors from your FluentCommunity color scheme in light and dark mode, and it follows the dark-mode toggle live. For the accent you can keep the FluentCommunity primary button color or pick your own, and the hover shades are worked out automatically. Every text in the modal can be changed in the settings.
Consent at registration (optional)
You can add a required “I agree to the Privacy Policy” checkbox to the registration form. Its link opens your policy in a modal with an “I agree” button. The policy text is loaded straight from WordPress, so it displays cleanly whatever your theme’s layout. You can also require members to scroll to the end of the policy before they can agree. The consent is checked on the server too, and the time and policy URL are saved with each new member. An optional notice above the checkbox can explain, for example, which profile details will be public.
Safe by design
- Only a plain visit to wp-login.php is redirected. Form submissions, logout, password-reset links from e-mails and re-authentication into wp-admin keep using the classic WordPress page.
- Redirects stay on your own site and are protected against loops.
- The form frame can’t be embedded on other domains.
- If the FluentAuth forms are turned off, the plugin steps aside, the regular sign in pages are used, and an admin notice tells you what to switch on. Your members never get stuck on an endless spinner.
- If you need the classic form, open
wp-login.php?fcma_classic=1. A one-line switch in wp-config.php turns the plugin off completely.
Requirements
WordPress 6.0+, PHP 7.4+ and Fluent Security / FluentAuth with its Login/Signup Forms enabled. FluentCommunity is optional: without it, the modal works on your regular pages.
